• 1983 Pyramid Hotel Group forms Beacon Hospitality Group
• Purchased Guest Quarters Suite Hotels and grew to 40 hotels

1990s

• 1993 Acquired Doubletree Hotels resulting in a combined company of 120 hotels
• 1994 Successfully executed an IPO for Doubletree hotel Corporation
• 1996 Doubletree completed the acquisition of Red Lion Hotels for over $1.2 billion
• 1998 Doubletree Merged with Promus Hotel Corporation resulting in a company with 1,250 hotels
• 1999 Pyramid Hotel Group LLC formed to develop, manage and acquire hotels
